Hey folks. Just a quick update here. As I mentioned on a call to a subscriber this morning, getting feedback from any of my tools is difficult. People tend to be silent. But I’m here to say, let me have it! I can adapt quickly and make changes to functionality to improve the experience. Just shoot me a note at bd@afeleaks.com.
Still, I have begun moving the functionality of the original shiny-based app framework to HTML supported by Javascript, which queries the API in the backend. Complicated way of saying, it all works a little better and login functionality is improved.
Basic Changes
Right now, I have replicated the Benchmarking Page, which was/is available to Paid Subscribers at Basic +. You wont’ get much in the way of single well detail, but you will get to put trend plots together. Simply follow the link to the page that I included above (https://afeleaks.com/basic/benchmarking), authenticate, and then some magic happens behind the scenes to verify your subscription and gives you access to the filter page.
On the filter page, you can zoom into the target area you care about, put some perf/time-based filters on top, and then click Run Benchmarking.
This will give you a generated url that has that well sample set. Within the new page you have the ability to view the wells on the map, use the custom plot builder, and then look at some high-level single well information, with a cost range for those wells.
Premium Changes
For users on Premium/API, I sent a post earlier this week on a new Single-Well Page that operates similarly, though you will have to select an API before going to the link.
Update to Single Well App
For Premium and API subscribers, we have moved much of the Single Well app functionality to an HTML-based page that is fed from our API service.
Additionally, I am working on Two additional pages; one that will basically be an expanded version of the Basic Benchmarking page, and then another that investigates the In-depth Cost Component data we have (which currently exists to Premium Users on the existing app).
Once these are going, the plan is to formally sunset my short-lived original app, as that functionality is going to live elsewhere.
Other Updates
I am working on the functionality to do mutli-select for all of the filters, but it is quite difficult and want to avoid breaking anything, so give me a few days and some additional functionality will be going. So bear with me everyone.
