Sorry about the typos originally! My E button apparently was not working, and I noticed after publish, but then I had to run the kiddo to swim practice so couldn’t fix it until now. Anyway….
It’s been a minute, but just wanted to send everyone an update on progress on the data front for AFE Leaks.
North Dakota
Most of my time the last week has been sourcing North Dakota data, making sure my well data scrapers are in shape for the state data, mapping API’s to each capex source, and then getting it all into the database. Initial slug went live around 2 pm, and I’ll continue to add here as time goes on. I have only put in top-level Totals for now, so will be processing full cost breakdowns in the meantime.
Texas
For Texas, I finished state-data update this week and pushed that to the database. For those that are not aware, Premium subscribers now have access to a new Texas dataset, and that is lease-level revenue/GPT costs at the wellhead for the majority of Texas wells. They will only get this for leases that I have cost data for, but API clients have access to the full dataset. It starts January 2024, but I will be keeping this up to date. You should be able to back into shrinks and NGL yields from this data and I plan on adding that to the dataset eventually.
Oklahoma
Oklahoma AFE’s from a new source I have are being processed now, so hopefully will get that full list into the database over the next week or so.
I’ve also got more AFE’s starting to come in elsewhere, so we’ll be able to fill out some additional state data as time goes on.
As far as research goes, I’ve got a couple in the hopper, and plan to release one by end of the week. I’ve been working on improving some functionality to my state data scrapers, so that’s pushed back some research, so I plan to hit it hard over the next few weeks.
Thanks everyone for the support, none of it is lost on me. Also, if you feel like reaching out or learning more, shoot me a note at bd@afeleaks.com.
Keep turnin’ right.
Also it appears my e button was not working well.
